When the Death card appears in a reading, one thing it brings up almost without fail is fear — fear of letting go, of what's out there, of what's unknown.

The Hermit is alone, contemplative, and on a spiritual journey testing him to his limits. The pranayama matched to this card balances the right and left sides of the brain — helping him stay centred as he walks it.

There is so much a single Tarot card can teach us, so many insights it can provide. A very unexpected one came to me a few years ago that had me match a yoga pose or sequence with each card..
