Spiritual Protection Part 2: More Ideas on How You Can Protect Your Space

Hello, Karen here from Soulful and Wild. So I just want to speak about spiritual protection a little more because we did talk about that in the last session. Do we or do we not do spiritual protection?

And I mean, if you've listened to that podcast, you'll have made up your own mind and you probably already knew what you thought anyway. And you've just had a little listen to see what I think about it.

But there's been a few people who've been interested in... in listening to that. um I guess. Thought bomb.

And so I thought I'd give you a little bit more because there were only a certain number of things that you can cover in a little podcast. So what did we talk about? um we talked about chakras we talked about white lighting we talked about putting selenite on you know the lintel of the front and or back door as a protection to um keep the energy and clear people's energy as they move into your home. We kind of talked about maintaining... a high vibe frequency in your home, and we talked about white lighting and I explained how to do that. So... You know, we've touched on those things. We also talked, I think, about, if I've got this right, putting salt on or along the boundary of your property as a way of, I guess, creating an unbroken line, to hold a sacred place .

So today, let's talk about a few other ways that people... have used different symbols and items and tools to create that protective space for themselves.

Now one of the things that I think about these days, and I'm sure it's come across your mind as well - electromagnetic frequencies - about 5G.

There was a lot of talk after COVID about the 5G towers going up when everybody was locked in their home and some people had quite a reaction to that and I did too. Now, I was not aware at the time of 5G towers going up because I was at home in the garden fluffing around with chickens and and that sort of stuff and and not going out too much. But... I was having a lot of headaches. And... you know, as I sort of researched into that, I discovered information about the electromagnetic frequencies.

As a result, one of the things that I did, is that I got myself some copper wire. Yes, I wandered off to Bunnings and got it. It's not that expensive when you buy the very thin flexible wire. I wound it around, well I've got an arch. that grows jasmine on it at one end of the the garden so that's on one point of the property, and. I wound it around that arch, did a nice little love heart at the top, and down over the other side and earthed it into the ground on each side of the arch so that corner of the property had this copper wire, and i I did a similar thing (but not as fancy) just around the posts, the fence posts, on the other three corners.

The idea was that it was going to kind of collect those electromagnetic frequencies and ground them into the earth and as a result of that they're not sort of floating into my my space.

Interestingly enough, I did get a measurable change. The headaches I’d been suffering with basically went, and because of that, I considered this to be quite a successful experiment. Let’s be real, if you've got a headache all the time - it's a bit rubbish.

So then I looked a little bit further and found this place - Orgone Effects? O-R-G-O-N-E, and I bought this very expensive. round bit of purple plastic. It had some paper and a design at the bottom and that was supposed to...you know, knock out the EMFs as well. Now... my left brain goes, “That's an expensive piece of plastic Karen. You've been duped there”, but the truth of the matter is... I could take that plastic purple dome and put it in my handbag and take that with me because, you know, if you're in a car with a couple of other people, they've all got their mobile phones, and they're bouncing electromagnetically around inside that metal container that you're sitting in. eek! I also started to take that with me when I went into work. At the time I was working in a big office with where everybody had two gigantic screens in front of their computer. I was really struggling with that. It did help. So those two things I found very useful from the perspective of setting up an energetic protection for myself.

Now there's quite a lot of interest and action going on with the use of copper. For example, people are wearing copper bracelets. I mean, they've always done that. My mum has rheumatoid osteoarthritis and I remember when I was a kid, she had copper bracelets to help with the pain. It seems they’ve had a real resurgence in recent years.

Now, the other thing that's kind of along those lines is using things like nails, so metal implements and burying them in the ground at the corners of your property and it works on the same principle as the copper.

If you're a tradie or you've got a friend who's a tradie who can collect some dodgy or used up old nails, you can, you know. pop them in an envelope, bury that in the envelope, at the corners of your property and bob's your uncle!

The other way that people use the idea of shards of metal s in something called Witch's Bottles. Now... That's a whole thing of its own, using those nails, those pointy things, and evidently what they do, is they get a bottle- it can be a wine bottle - although traditionally it was those old earthenware bottles - and there was always a bearded man on it - and it was sealed once full, but what they would put in there is, they put protective herbs, they put the metals - and... the deal was, I mean this is a bit folkloric actually, but the deal was that they were designed to ward off evil that was coming to the person who lived at the house. Included in the bottles were hair clippings or toenail clippings, or the urine of the person who lived in the house who was seeking the protection. It was all put into the bottle because it's like those personal things held their energy. And the... the negative energy, if you like, would be attracted to the frequency that was held by their urine or their hair. And... that would go into the bottle where all those pointy things were. and the protective herbs and that that would you know like pierce it and redirect it shall we say. That's a little bit too fear-mongery for me. I tend to be bit more the proactive rather than you know, I expect negative energy to come. But if you get a sense, honestly, if you get a sense that you need that kind of protection, this is a way that you can do it. So pee in the bottle or put your hair clippings in there, some protective herbs like rosemary or rue, that kind of thing and bury that either near the entrance to your property or on the borders. or near the front door or even the back door actually. So that's something you can do. Seriously there's so many things, practices and traditions from many different cultures. For example, I studied Tibetan medicine many years ago now at His Holiness, the Dalai Lama’s Medical and Astrological College in Dharamsala right up in the Himalayas in India. Wowza, what a learning experience. Very ancient, some seeming somewhat barbaric to be honest. The most barbaric of all I thought at the time was using a golden needle - like a nail you’d put in a horseshoe - into the crown of the head - and that was like, “whoa” but I've actually had needles put in the crown of my head during acupuncture treatments here in Australia because evidently it does release tension and stress. So the golden needle. Yes. I thought it was barbaric when I was doing the course, but it does actually make sense. It's just gold, and a bit thicker than what I personally would prefer to have stuck in the top of my head.

Tibetan medicine has a long history, and it’s amazing. In the Tibetan tradition. there are mandalas used and certain gods… the mandalas are very protective. I bought some of those when I was in India and I actually had them on the back of my bedroom door and in my office - they're very beautiful. So you can frame themj or even a thangka, which is basically a beautiful picture that's usually been embroidered and also some of the old Tibetan symbols. They are powerful, very, very powerful actually. A very ancient tradition. Some are specifically for protection, very much so. Protection is a big deal in that culture.

Organite. now Last time we spoke about spiritual protection, I talked quite a bit about Selenite. And I think I was. waving this particular bit of selenite around as I was chatting about it. Now lets talk about black stones, black crystals.

See the selenite, this is clearing and balancing alright, but in terms of actual protection. for the heavy duty stuff - and sometimes we are dealing with really heavy duty stuff. People can find themselves under attack. For those times you really want to have the big guns in, so those black crystals are definitely the go.

so onyx apache here um those kinds of ones even though i'm just going to grab some hematite that's another really good one i'll show you what they look like in case you're watching the video. So here's hematite, this is on a Pendulum.

13:14.91

Karen Seinor

Lovely. sort of silvery.

13:19.90

Karen Seinor

and um Black tourmaline is one of my favorites. But you can see these black ones. um I really love.

13:32.02

Karen Seinor

clear quartz with the black tourmaline in because it's like you've got that lightness and the the shards the thin strips of the black tourmaline in there it's like it captures any negativity or negative energy even on the thought level Um,

13:49.25

Karen Seinor

in the web of the of the black tourmaline is quite gorgeous. So that's nice. A good one that I particularly love is black.

14:00.79

Karen Seinor

amethyst. It's not really purple, it's almost black. I find that is... It's not quite as heavy duty.

14:11.38

Karen Seinor

as the black tourmaline and onyx and so on. but I really like it. and and one of the things about the crystals and stuff is you've got to really just put this back You've really got to...

14:29.91

Karen Seinor

check in with what is right for you because that matters a lot. Now there's another one, Organite. Organ art is used in a lot of those you know how I talked about the expensive plastic thing for the EMS Organized shavings.

14:47.73

Karen Seinor

Um. metal shavings in some kind of mix and then set organites very very good i've actually got some black organites sitting on top of um one of my beehives to protect and i've got them grouped together around that one to protect the the hives.

15:09.38

Karen Seinor

energetically. So that's something else that you might want to look at. and And check in with yourself, do a little bit of research. and and maybe go and have ah a little feel. and and a touch and a feel to see if that's sort of right for you. um So black tourmaline, hematite.

15:27.47

Karen Seinor

From a plant perspective, rosemary, rue, we've talked about rowan trees last time, but elder trees, and they're very Celtic. Um, looking at how things are for us here in Australia.

15:42.29

Karen Seinor

plants like um You know eucalyptus is always good because it oxygenates. all right And where there is air, there is life. Where there is oxygen, there is a lighter energy. So I think that they are very good. And you can look at things like lemon-scented gum, peppermint-scented eucalyptus, because those...

16:05.71

Karen Seinor

fragrances. are uplifting you know and that's my tangent all right not so much the heavy duty stuff. Now... When we're thinking about plants and gardens, there's you can actually set up your garden.

16:20.53

Karen Seinor

as a protective. um Living space. So... A lot of older homes you'll see the big page.

16:33.27

Karen Seinor

you know, the unbroken line of the head across the front. And. That's very old. That's very... ancient traditional stuff. So...

16:44.16

Karen Seinor

You can sit up. you can grow A prickly hedge in particular. is very protective from an energetic perspective. Now it's practical and physical. but it's energetic.

16:56.60

Karen Seinor

um Let me just have a little look and see if I, you know, traditionally it was things like. blackthorn hawthorn that sort of stuff but i think that anything that is A hedge.

17:09.65

Karen Seinor

And he's in an unbroken line. you know, you're laying up that. you're laying up that that um that boundary, so to speak. Um,

17:22.07

Karen Seinor

Yeah. The other thing that you can do around your house is do... um a small even a small hedge. You know, it doesn't have to be high because it's creating that border. And things like rosemary and lavender are very, very good. Rosemary is a protective. so um there's the traditional knot you know where they they weave in and out that represents the unbroken line. so

17:51.80

Karen Seinor

you can do something like that and having a circular garden. all right planting a tree in the center and that can represent you or your family group and planting protective things around that. A lot of this is um intention.

18:08.80

Karen Seinor

you know, your intention in doing it, that can be a symbol of what you're laying down and therefore it is, right? um The pathway to your front door.

18:21.79

Karen Seinor

not straight. but curved. And the idea there... is and And I have that actually. You come through.

18:32.88

Karen Seinor

a big gate at my place there's a big gate for the car but you come through a personal access gate and it comes so you walk down on the edge of the driveway and that is curved to the front door and the idea of the curve is that any negative energy that is coming your way will fall off the edge It can't go straight.

18:51.43

Karen Seinor

Yep. And the the thought process behind it is that negative energy just goes from A to B. It's not... malleable yeah Hmm. Um...

19:03.59

Karen Seinor

There's things like hag stones. for example. Now, hagstone thinking witchy haggie is A stone that has a circle in the center naturally.

19:15.50

Karen Seinor

Now. I don't know whether that's something that is laying around thick on the ground. but I was gifted I'll show it to you.

19:26.24

Karen Seinor

I was gifted this. Beautiful! at this it's Amazing. A friend actually created this. She's got great big... Isn't it gorgeous?

19:37.99

Karen Seinor

E-e. this is some grape vines. that she trimmed at her place and she made about 10 of those. And she generously gifted me with one.

19:48.72

Karen Seinor

And so to me, that is very Hagstone-like. And the moment I saw it, I thought, oh my goodness, I'm going to hang that from my veranda. And there's many things that I could do with that from a protective space.

20:03.22

Karen Seinor

Yeah. for a start i could stick things like um lavender and rosemary i could stick that in to all the spaces on the edges i could sort of weave it in um little feathers that drop.

20:17.95

Karen Seinor

different amulets, for example. little trinkets and things. Even bells. to make a big Fabulous. um like a witch's bell, fabulous catastrophe, you know. um So...

20:34.26

Karen Seinor

You could make something like that yourself. with willow that you collect down at the the local creek. or if you've got rosemary that you're growing or any kind of softer wood.

20:48.83

Karen Seinor

if you Leave that. You can even buy. Um... bamboo that's been put into a circle and and build something with that. So that would be a lovely thing and you can set the intention that anything that's... Coming your way is collected in that, you know.

21:06.36

Karen Seinor

um What else? What else have I got here? I've talked about the witch's bells. Um. I've talked about mandalas from... the Tibetan culture.

21:20.09

Karen Seinor

And I've just touched on... on the bells and and sound. I think chimes are quite lovely and I think that they are protective. There's a sweetness if you if you if you've got a really good frequency.

21:33.59

Karen Seinor

um you can put you know you can locate purchase a chime with the intention that it sends a sweet um Tone.

21:45.66

Karen Seinor

through the environment that is protective. um You can access things from... Like the bagua. you know that's from oh gosh what's it called now It's right on the tip of my tongue.

22:01.68

Karen Seinor

Feng Shui. It's disappearing. So from that that whole Feng Shui. tradition you know the bagua is shaped. Is it eight-sided? Something like that. And it has a little mirror in it. Now, you can have the bagua shape or you can just have a mirror out near your front door pointing away. so and the And the idea of that is that any negative energy is reflected away. That's quite powerful.

22:29.98

Karen Seinor

And I've used that here. i've I had a small one. And I had it for the first couple of years I lived here. I had it pointed in the direction because I had a funky neighbor.

22:42.46

Karen Seinor

and um I just had it resting. um facing towards away from my home towards in that direction and it really made any challenges sort of just like disappear. There were no problems after that went there.

22:59.70

Karen Seinor

um One of the things that I would say that I feel is really, really important is that when you set up, whatever you set up, whether it is crystal grids that you set up to lighten or...

23:11.73

Karen Seinor

or lift the vibration of your space or whether it's purely protective to send negative energy away. I feel that those things that you put in place need to be.

23:23.79

Karen Seinor

re-energize from time to time and you might choose a particular time in the moon like the full moon or even the new moon I find the dark moon the new moon is very very powerful a lot of people are quite active at the full moon but I personally feel that the new moon or the dark moon as it's called is when the power is really strong.

23:46.84

Karen Seinor

and then it expands and builds to the full moon. But you do you. I mean, for me, the dark moon or the or the new moon is a very powerful time, but you follow what's right for you.

23:59.92

Karen Seinor

So yeah. re-energizing the things that you set up. on a regular basis is important because you can't just do it once and forget about it. energy. does dissipate over time um Hmm.

24:14.46

Karen Seinor

I think that's probably all I've got to share with you on that. But here's these are some ideas. So the things that you plant. And look. I don't know if I've told you this before or not but When I... um had the foundation laid here at the cottage.

24:30.00

Karen Seinor

Much to my builder's horror. I actually came along, i I selected tarot cards and I positioned them. in the different brings where the rooms would be when they laid the foundation. with very strict instructions that they should not be moved. so you know You can do things like that.

24:49.38

Karen Seinor

Now that was very very foundational. i I had a lovely opportunity to do that. but we can put tarot cards. or representations of tarot cards.

25:00.93

Karen Seinor

inside a room to bring certain energy there in just the same way that we can um you know grow a garden with certain plants to emit a frequency. So there's some ideas. I hope that's helpful. Let me know if there's some...

25:20.46

Karen Seinor

anything you agree with or disagree with, I'll be very happy to interact with you on that. So... Remembering, of course. that we explore these ideas.

25:33.07

Karen Seinor

ah but it's not from a place of fear. What we're doing is we're setting an intention. for our space from a place of power with knowledge.

25:44.33

Karen Seinor

and you know you'll do your own research you check in with what feels right for you and your situation but it's not about fear-mongering or coming from a place where oh my goodness the baddies are going to get me not at all It's more about.

25:58.46

Karen Seinor

This is what I want to create. This is how I want my space to be. And I'm putting these things in place as a symbolic. um the the symbols.

26:10.01

Karen Seinor

And I'm taking these actions, using these symbols to create this and to hold this space. And for me, that is really, really important. Yeah. So thanks for tuning in and...

26:21.37

Karen Seinor

Moi, I will see you another time. Take care.
